Office Feng Shui
Practical Feng Shui adjustments for offices and work-from-home setups.
An office in Feng Shui is treated as a small ecosystem — the chair, the desk, the door, the screen, and the light all play a part in how focused or scattered you feel during the day. Most adjustments cost nothing.
Sit in the command position
Place the desk so you can see the door without sitting directly in line with it. Your back should face a solid wall, never a window. This is the same principle the bedroom uses, applied to focus instead of sleep.
Five quick wins
- Move the desk to face the door diagonally; your body will stop scanning for surprises.
- Add one calming object in your line of sight — a plant, a small piece of art, a stone.
- Banish the inbox from your peripheral vision. Notifications belong on a second screen or off entirely.
- Light from the side, not from behind your screen.
- End the day by clearing the desk to one object. Mornings will feel lighter.
